Executive Chef
The Job
  • You are responsible for the execution of the IKEA Food & Beverages concept in our kitchen.
  • To ensure that systems & methods stated in the “IKEA Food & Beverages” manual are implemented in the department.
  • To execute action plan for the kitchen to support business plan goals, sales/gross profit developments and manage controllable costs.
  • To train the co-workers in the range, recipes & food preparation ensuring the highest standards of presentation, quality & diligence to Food Safety requirements.
 
Requirements:
  • 8 years experience working as an Executive Chef & a Diploma holder .
  • Knowledge in Kitchen Management will be an advantage.
  • Competent in Continental/Local Cuisine .
  • Well versed with menu costing.
  • Good in inventory control & planning schedule.
  • Possess strong leadership & interpersonal skills.
  • Able to do banquet & staff canteen.
  • You must be a team-player & have the ability to build high performance teams.
  • Computer literate & flexible enough to work shifts, weekends & public holiday.
  • Good communication skills in English & Bahasa Malaysia.
 

Human Resource Executive
The Job
  • Administer recruitment activities and selection process including sourcing, pre-screening, interviewing and short listing of candidates.
  • Establish a network of sources i.e. recruitment agencies, universities, technical schools to facilitate rapid recruitment of talent into the organization.
  • Maintain database of recruiting information, including candidates interviewed, status, source, etc, documentation of recruiting procedures and policies as well as prepare reports on recruitment activities.
  • Prepare monthly reports e.g. KPI Headcount, Turnover, etc.
  • Carry out new hire survey and exit interviews to improve an existing welfare.
  • Assist in reviewing, formulating and monitoring of HR policies, procedures and work processes to ensure effectiveness of the HR Management function and best practices to achieve optimal productivity.
  • Responsible for the reservations of air tickets and hotel rooms for co-workers who travels on business trips and ensure that it is in line with IKEA travel policy.
  • Work with other HR colleagues within the HR function and/or other functions to organize the Induction and other programs to ensure new hires are orientated in a timely and effective manner.
  • To contribute towards an environment where the IKEA culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of co-workers and customers.
  • Perform other duties as required and expected of such a position.
 
Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management/Business Administration or equivalent.
  • At least 3 year(s) of working experience in human resource function, preferably specializing in Recruitment and Selection.
  • A resourceful and creative person with good interpersonal communication skills with all levels in the organisation.
  • Good analytical and conceptual skills.
  • Service oriented, pro-active and results focused.
  • Able to evaluate multiple highly detailed tasks, determine priorities and organize work for maximum delivery result
  • Team player and have strong command of English Language
  • Able to work independently
  • Knowledge in any payroll system is an advantage

Requirements:
  • Interest in home furnishing.
  • Knowledge in retail operations will be an added advantage.
